Fantastic photo.

Do you have an SLR? Was that with a zoom lens?

I've been making my living as a photographer for the last 20 years!- I still love taking pictures, but thanks to the digital revolution there isn't as much wedding work as there was, so I've turned another hobby into a business!

it's simple really - I turned my hobby of photography into a profession when the chicken farm went tits up - it's paid the bills ever since, but I've been looking for another string to my bow for ages - there just isn't the photography work around in the provinces, and you wouldn't get me in a town for love or money. So, having had a while doing some webdesign (same story!) - I had been longing to use my knowledge in another hobby to some use, and following discussions with a long-standing buddy, we set up "Solarwind" at the beginning of the year - the rest as they say, is history! 8)
I'm still accepting photo bookings while the new firm gets up and boogying - here's the website - http://farmco.co.uk :dave:

Love the photos! So, just because of digital cameras, you aren't needed to take wedding photos any more? It's not like no-one had a camera before, is it? Have they suddenly become professional photographers (I think not!) just because they have a digital camera????

Fifeen years ago, probably 70-80 percent of weddings had a photographer, and a video man - nowadays videos are virtually unheard of - "Uncle Alf" brings his own - unfortunately it looks like the same is happening to photography......... :(
Perhaps I'm mad, but I love my photography enough to return to photographing what I like, rather than what I'm paid for!
