Rosacea - teenage daughter angst

Post: # 23055Post Hillbilly »

On the off chance - does anyone on here know any herbal or homeopathic treatments that might help my 15 year old daughter's symptoms. IMHO she doesnt look too bad. The rash is confined to a small area around her nose but she's 15 and gets teased so i want to try and help.

Been to GP more times than care to mention and this time he's dished out strong antibiotics, which I am less than happy about a 15 year old taking.

for something like that, it's really worth finding the £30 or so for a proper homoeopathic, herbalist or acupuncture consultation. A not widely known fact is that if you push for it, you should be able to get a consultation with an NHS registered doctor/homoeopath for free, off the NHS! 8)
At that age, their hormones are going bezique which adds more complications - I'd go for a proper therapist -I'm sure you'll find a safe, gentle solution, instead of the ghastly drugs - best of luck!

I'd certainly not noticed anything when I saw her Jo....

She doesn't wear nail varnish does she?? I had something like this myself.. although didn't get a name for it... and the rash lasted for months... and then all of a sudden cleared up. I was older than her though, I was about 25 when I had it. Quite sore at times too.

I'd probably try the homeopathic consultation route rather than guessing... not too keen on the use of antibiotics either.

Martin, yes I think you are right. I will take her to see a qualified Homeopath.

Shirley - Well thats it isn't it! Its not even that noticable most of the time! Some weeks it does 'spread' and look a bit nasty but its usually just a small area round each side of her nose. But as you know - a small area is 'most of my face' to a teenage lass and she does get very self concious and emotional about it so I would rreally like to do something.

I'm pretty anti modern-medicine when it comes to something like this - too many pills are dished out willy nilly nowadays.
