Well, we took him off for slaughter and I am gald I panicked about freezer space because we have a freezer full of pork.It was well worth doing.we had to pay extra for the bacon and Ham process but we have at least 6 months worth of everything and the roasting joints will last longer as we have fewer roasts in summer and eat alot of chickens too.We will keep 2 next time but will get another freezer and sell some to family and friends.
Grow it,make it ,eat it, drink it and sleep well!

well done :)

yes - we keep increasing the number of freezers we have,,,, this year we are not doing pigs as we had 4 last year - although we sold one in exchange for beef. we wont need any more pork for a while  and this way the ground gets a rest.

now you can learn to make porkie things - we do sausages, hogs pudding, faggots, pate, bacon and ham.

we had a ham over easter...very nice
