hello from Glastonbury
hi all
thought i'd say a few words: this sounds like a great place
about me: i live comfortably but with relatively few possessions for this part of the world. i fix computers for a living and specialise in keeping older computers running properly. sometimes people give me computers which i then refurbish and then pass on to someone who needs one, either for free or for the cost of any parts
this year's a big one for me as i've just started sharing an allotment. i've never done that before and it's quite exciting. i never knew how easy and satisfying it is to develop personal relationships with soil, compost, manure and plants
i try to make whatever i do beneficial to both myself and the community i live in: and i'm just beginning to fathom what "ubuntu" is...roughly stated as "i am who i am because of who we all are"
and on a final note, today is my birthday and i was woken at five in the morning by the dawn chorus...and then i saw this site on facebook :)
looking forward to getting to know folks here

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
