remove ancient paint from brickwork?

The whole reason for the selfsufficientish website was to offer a place where anyone can ask, HOW DO I...? So who knows why it has taken us so long to have a HOW DO I? section, but here it is. So if you want to know how to do anything selfsufficientish then here is the place to ask.

remove ancient paint from brickwork?

Post: # 229075Post MuddyWitch »

The previous owners here (& we've been here 11 years!) put mock shutters at the front windows. When we took them down they left a ghost as the painter had not been that acurate. Now that we are readying the house for sale I'd like to clean this mess off the bricks. Please does anyone know how this can be done?

Nitromors and a wire brush should do it. Or maybe just a wire brush wheel in a power drill.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?
