ALSO from Sunny Suffolk
Hi!
My user name is my real one, (usually known as JRo) I live in north-west Suffolk, having moved all over the UK, pretty much. We came here nearly four years ago. I used to be a gardener/plant/tree propagator and once had a little herb nursery, but my OH's wanderlust kept on putting a stop to all my money-making plans. Hopefully we will stay in our present house for a bit longer, as the thought of having to rehouse my chickens and rabbits is a bit daunting.
I grow most of our vegetables, apart from potatoes, and use a dehydrator because I could fill our freezers several times over. I love my garden dearly, but this last winter tested my affection for it severely - digging out frozen leeks and parsnips from under a foot of snow is only fun the first time it happens.
I hate waste, and always have done, so recycle/make everything I possibly can. I think I was born mean, it was not because of the environment!

Hi there and wlecome JR!

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Thank you, susiegee!
I'm just having a break from all the hot sun - I'm actually in shorts today! Although I think my legs are brighter than the sun..

Re: ALSO from Sunny Suffolk
Hello all!
I have only been over to Newmarket once - I live between BSE and Thetford. As for the leek-digging in the snow - it was either that or try to drive to a shop in the snow to buy some, and digging seemed easier at the time!
More sun today - will the dayglo white legs get another airing, I wonder?
