much less worried about religion issue
but I will still be going in and talking to someone...
however, we had this conversation on the way home ths evening. I was panicking at first...
soph 'we had a semmbly about easter' (she doesn't say assembly, she says a semmbly lol.)
me *heart sinking* 'yeah?'
soph 'yeah, you know that man jesus, right? well some baddies nailed him to a cross and then took him down when he was dead and put him in a cave. then some ladies came next day to cry and the cave was empty!'
me 'really?' *thinking oh noes, another theological discussion with my five year old, oh crap*
soph 'yeah! jesus was awake, not dead! but he WAS dead when they put him in the cave! that means he's now a zombie. I don't think he ate the ladies' brains though, cos my teacher didn't tell us that. but she wouldn't would she? about eating brains? cos that's minging.' *totally deadpan face. completely serious five year old. omfg*.
me *shocked, trying not to PMSL* 'erm... don't go telling anyone at school you think jesus is a zombie. ok?
soph 'yeah. I know. I don't want to scare them. that would make them sad.'
me 'yeah. that's the reason' ...
true transcript of our conversation!!!!

I love Sophie's thinking! my mate started calling Easter Zombie Jesus Day a few years ago and it's stuck!

Wow - what an imagination. Has she ever seen a zombie movie or was this straight out of the blue?

What a stunningly accurate metaphor.
Sums up my views on Christianity in a nutshell.
Her full name ought to be Philo-Sophie
