Re: My Crappy House **UPDATE**
Hi,
Watching the weather report the other day and they mentioned the snow in Lanarkshire, thought of Annpan and her crappy house in the snow - does anyone know the latest and whether there has been any joy sueing the b*stards?

Re: My Crappy House **UPDATE**
I thought of her recently too - I tried to look at the crappy house blog to see and it seems to be protected, I don't know if that's a good sign or a bad sign. Hope things are going ok, Annpann.

Re: My Crappy House **UPDATE**
Hi again guys
Possitive thinking is the way to go from now on
Things are looking up....
E (4YO) and I moved out of the crappy house in October, we have been staying at my Sister's house over in FIfe. So we were warm and dry and well fed over Christmas and New Year. We moved into my brother's empty place at the weekend (he is away with work for a while)
The snow was terrible. On the weekend at the start of the snow it took us 4 hours to get to the house (usually just a 1 hour drive) We managed to pick up the chickens and the cat and dropped them off with foster carers.
The new builders have been hard at work being wonderful every step of the way.... They have rebuilt all of the inside structure to be safe and sound.... re done the insulation and plaster boarding. We have a back door and running water (which is more than we had a month ago) and our new new windows will be going in this week.
We are borrowing money all over the bleedin' shop to pull this off.... We made a harsh descision that, as long as we can handle the debt and work towards paying it off, that it is better than putting up with, or attempting to rectify the mess ourselves.
We sure have been to Hell over the past year.... don't know when I get back, I'm on the train but there seem to be a lot of stops on this line
We have, as yet, had no joy legal wise, but wheels are in motion...

Re: My Crappy House **UPDATE**
Annpan that is fabulous news!!
Sounds like things may finally be on the mend for you. Do you know when your soon-to-be-non-crappy house will be habitable again?
I can see why you have decided to just get the work done - I think I would be the same, far better to live frugally while you pay off debt in your own cosy house than to live somewhere else and have all of the extra hassle of doing building work at the same time.
So pleased for you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. And well done for staying strong

Hi Ann.
Very pleased to hear that you are getting on top of your troubles and things are beginning to go right for a change.
Now that spring is coming and you are emerging from the hell you have been suffering, perhaps with a bit of sun and warmer weather you will actually begin to enjoy life again.
Good luck with the rest of you life.

That's great news Annpan. I'm really pleased your life seems to be going in a much more positive direction now, it must be a weight of your mind, body and soul to have made a decision to get the work done and now to see it being made good. I hope things run much more smoothly for you from now on.
Huge hugs from me

Re: My Crappy House **UPDATE**
I would have done exactly the same. You can always save/ recoup money on the house somewhere down the line, get it safe and watertight and liveable first!Annpan wrote: We are borrowing money all over the bleedin' shop to pull this off.... *So* happy things are looking up for you. I bet this time next year you'll be starting to look back on all this and laugh, from your lovely new house ;-).
Re: My Crappy House **UPDATE**
Thanks guys, lovely to 'see' you all again.
And thanks for all the support you have always given, I can't tell you how important a few kind words are on your darkest days.
You'll ll be invited to the housewarming OK?

So glad to hear things are picking up! You'll be home again before you know it. Better start planning that garden!
