Re: Hello from Bristol
Hi Ray and welcome! My OH works for a supermarket chain(in the warehouse)and yes they did used to leave their waste bins unlocked, infact had done so for years.Unfortunately due to the media coverage of people taking food for free, the supermarkets became aware of the problem and have started locking their bins!I think its a crying shame myself, when you see what they throw out.Did anyone watch "The People's Supermarket"the other night?Well the chef who has started the supermarket cooked a whole meal from supermarket waste bins, which did'nt surprise me.

It's years since I was in Bristol(though weirdly 25 odd years ago I didthe landscaping when Waitrose in Henleaze was built !) is the wholesale fruit and veg market still open ? If so pop there or any other F&V wholesale market about 9.30 - 10.00 am.Loads is chucked out some will be given if you are prepared to ask.
