I worked for 'Woolies' years ago, and my boss gave me this piece of advice, just after a similar robbery on a 'Woolies' down south:

'The bu**ers don't pay us enough to live on so they certainly don't pay us enough to die for!...Hand it all over, they're insured'

I agree with all that has been said. It is possibly a HSE issue so contact the Sainsbury's head office and ask them about their policy.

I hope you never have to experience a robbery but what Muddy Witch said is very good advice. It is not your money so should it ever happen just give the money to the robber and you will be fine.

I hope you can sort something out so that you feel comfortable going to work every day.

What about speaking to the local police regarding your concerns to find out what their advice would be? Perhaps get this advice in writing and send to your bosses or head office?
Hopefully lightning won't strike twice but I know I would be nervous working alone... hugs.
