oldest seeds!

Post: # 222498Post pops »

i have been offloaded, i mean 'donated' a lot of seed packets from friends & neighbours and amongst them i found a packet of runner beans with a sow by date of 1993!
think they may just be past their best...

lots of lettuce seeds packaged in 2003! what is the limit i can get away will and have at least a reasonable chance of success?!

Well it won´t hurt to try them!

put in warm water first. for about 24hrs.any that float.discard..
try them in seed tray or whatever.you could be surprised........

After all many "lost" plant species have been brought back form ancient seed that was stored, in not the best conditions!
