Not good so far - OH has had to take over making the pasta -but then he is part Italian! Think I'll resort to the chilli I made earlier and practice some more!greenorelse wrote:Let us know what you made and how you get on.Milims wrote:Toight we are having home made pasta a home made pesto - I've not made either before, but I have a new toy to try!

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Mmm, fish pie for us tonight I think. But with filo topping not mash as we have some left over. Coley fillets, a tin of sweetcorn, some boiled eggs and of course a little grated cheese. Mmmmm

Vegan pizza, with a new, experimental cheese substitute (which currently looks like it might need tweaking
)

Re: What are we all having for dinner?
I just made some 'baked' beans, though they weren't baked.
Enough for roughly the same as four cans'-worth:
500g cannelloni or haricot beans, soaked overnight then pressure cooked for three minutes (cover the beans with fresh water and a tablespoon of oil to prevent foaming).
Fried a couple of big onions and a good helping of garlic in a big pan with olive oil.
Threw in a tall jar of tomato passata, some fresh parsley, salt, pepper, sugar and cayenne pepper and let it bubble gently for 10 minutes then liquidised it and put in the hot beans.
Scrummy on baked spuds or brown toast with a few alfalfa sprouts.

Corned beef hash here. With enough left over for tomorrow's lunch and a portion for the dog

Re: What are we all having for dinner?
Warm egg and asparaguse salad with a balsamic dressing.................and a spelling lesson.
