Greetings from Australia
Greetings. After enthusiastically (even obsessively) trawling through this forum for over a week now, - and having already implemented many ideas I have found here, - I have finally worked up the courage to make my first post.
I am Mummy to two wee babes, who love nothing more than romping with our two milk goats (and their two really-should-be-weaned-kids), the ducks, the chooks, the turkeys, the sheep and the calves. My other half is locally known as the Balmy Beekeeper, and I make products from the wax to sell at markets (as well as the honey). I have a passionate interest in herbs and herbology, but have a little trouble remembering to water them, hence I have a struggling but still useful eatible garden.
I live the ish life because I want my children to grow up knowing that milk comes from animals, that eggs come from hens, and veggies come from the ground.
I seem to be a magnet for orphaned and abandoned animals, so much so I have often considered putting a sign up on the front fence saying 'Animal Shelter'.
And, true to The Good Life, one of my faithful milk goats is named Geraldine.

Re: Greetings from Australia
Hello from another new person.
Sounds like a wonderful environment in which to bring up children. We have three children and that is also a big factor in our recent move to a house with a bit of land. We are planning to build tree houses soon! Not sure we'll manage that many animals though, just chickens so far!

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Hello and welcome - my geography is appalling, hope you are not being affected by current flooding?
