Hi everyone from North Lincolnshire, England
We have just had the worst December I can remember with a foot of snow that remained froze for a whole month. This area is lucky usually to get an inch or two that only lasts a few days. Even now the two nature ponds in the garden have not defrosted since the last few days of November.

We've all had pretty bad time this winter, like yourselves we usually only get a couple of inches - for about 2 weeks in early February! Just before Christmas, having survived all the really deep snow, we were housebound for about a week because of the ice - I didn't mind it too much though, I'd quite happily hibernate in winter anyway. Must be the dormouse in me

We have just had another fall of snow, Orkney usually gets just a covering (deep in places though) but it only lasts a week usually..........not this time! Happy -ishing.
