Happy new year
Happy new year
Hi Everyone
I'm a new so just popping on to say hello. I live in Newcastle with my husband and 2 year old daughter, with another baby due in May. I am pretty good at being frugal but my bank balance says that I must try harder. I have a weedy allotment, a hive of bees and a penchant for looking into skips
I look forward to getting to know you all and sharing tips and experiences

Hi there and welcome

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: Happy new year
Hi everyone - you are such a welcoming lot. No great frugal achievements to report from today - in fact, spent £30 on a day out to the Railway Museum in York with Maisie (2) - £23 train ticket, £7 lunches. Did make a very tasty leek and potato soup with some very scraggy looking veg, so I'm claiming that as today's achievement. Going to make 3 birthday cards now, so I suppose I could consider that saving me a few quid.
