Re: PSB and snow?
I'd leave the leaves in place - if they are dead they will go brown but sometimes leaves will continue to be OK even when only half attached. As to whether they will survive this winter that is another matter. I think a lot of people are going to be PSBless next spring.
If mine don't make it through a 2nd winter in a row I won't bother trying to grow them again as they are obviously a bit tender!

Re: PSB and snow?
well i went out and checked yesterday, removed any brown leaves cos frankly they were stinking out my tiny garden. i have one whose top has gone yellow and looks dead, but it's not over until the fat lady sings. the others look ok... but i am worried. i'm not doing brassicas next year.

I have to admit to being truly amazed that my broccoli has (seemingly) survived the snow!!! It has receeded enough now to see the ground and the broccoli is green and standing up and healthy looking. I thought it was a gonner, am continually amazed by how hardy this stuff is year after year!!
I really hope your makes it Mrs Flibble, fingers crossed for you.

Because of the pidgeons I have always made alittle cage around psbroc as it's the only really nice fresh thing to eat in late winter, basically a wooden frame with rabbit netting, this will stop snow damage too(and it's transportable when you rotate.)
