what can i start with?

left it real late i guess. i now have a patch ready to go, roughly 1 1/2 meters by 4 1/2. but what can i put in it at this time of year? :?

I started this time last year and put french beans,spring onions and rocket in,which all did fine.

Left it late? I've hardly got anything in yet, either - because of recurring night frosts... So don't worry, you can still grow most things. Maybe not stuff that needs a really long growing period - but you never know, maybe autumn comes just as late as summer this year - which would make up for time lost!

This morning I was sowing swede, and at the weekend I'll be sowing french beans, peas, spring onions, salads and probably a few more spuds - so there's loads of things you can try! Since the soil is warm, germination is much more reliable and a lot of crops will almost catch up with earlier sowings.
