Nope, we're in the colonies as mentioned above.

We don't have a landline either Julie, no point when they can't be arsed to enable our exchange for broadband. Over €25 a month for the privilege of having a wire attached to my house plus calls, no thanks, Mrs Odsox rings her family in the UK for about €10 a month on Vodafone for hours on end.

So when I'm driving around Waterford and Dublin looking for you two I won't be able to ring to ask where you are exactly.

No, both of us are incommunicado ...
Mind you, I'm not sure you would have had much success looking for a Mr Odsox in the telephone directory.

Haha.... MMM, here's what you do....

Get as near to where we are as possible - you'll find we've mentioned our local villages once or twice on here, I'm sure
Then you find the local garage/spar/mace/or post office.... pop in & ask about 'the english folk - grow things, keep chooks', in my case, 'sells eggs, has a sign up' and voila! Shouldn't take more than about 20 minutes

Oh very droll ..

Actually you really would find me if you came to the south west and asked to be directed to the local radio ham ... I guarantee you would soon find me soon enough.
I had a letter addressed to "The house with all the aerials" and I got it the next day.
It amazes some people that we get any post at all as we don't have post codes, zip codes or cedex, but it's no problem if the postman knows everyone personally ... the only problem is the mail is quite often a bit late as he has to pass the time of day with each customer.

I can't use that from here - I just get the message: "You do not have the right to view from your location"

So, if something is on BBC, but not on BBC Northern Ireland, I can't watch it!!

Anyway, I was just saying.....
Being a technophobe and proud of it I will probably get something wrong but there is a way that you can watch the i player in foriegn countries. It was on the BBC click programme how people do it and it's something to do with routing your internet conection through another country or something. It might still be on the click website. It was probably about 2 months ago.

Thanks Al! I'll have a look around & see if I can find it over the weekend. It's not often I want to watch things from other places, but when I do & then I'm told that I can't... well, let's just say I get a touch disgruntled  (think pouts & feet stamping & you're somewhere close!!)

The trouble with proxy servers is that they don't last long - OH was able to get some Timeteams a few years ago (when it clashed with something else) but in no time these proxy servers get banned. You may find it useful for a very short time so make the most of it!

This one has just been mentioned on a Brittany forum and seems to be working at the moment and is virus free apparently (according to those who know what they are talking about and have checked it)
