Polytunnels

Post: # 21294Post Hillbilly »

Hi

Does anyone have experience of a good (and cheapish) supplier of polytunnels? We're after one about 20ft long and 8 or so feet wide.

We considered building ourselves but for various reasons have decided against it.

We would like one here too but was talking to Stonehead about it the other day and they don't come cheap - at least the ones that will cope with the weather up here, both in terms of snow and wind, are not cheap. Maybe a project for next year or even the year after as £1500 plus is just not going to happen this year.

We did consider having one and letting other interested people share it - got room for quite a large one here.

ah luckily we're sheltered so don't need such a bombproof one. Ones we're looking at are £400 but its still a helluva price for some plastic isn't it!

Fellow self sufficient ish types (in lifestyle, not belonging to this site) nabbed one of Ben Reids when he was replacing his - £100. They spent £50 on patching kit and so ended up with a 40ft by 15ft tunnel for £150.00 and it IS bombproof.

*green with envy*
