Test the Nation
Sun 28 May, 8:00 pm - 9:10 pm 70mins
Know Your Planet
In a programme to tie in with the BBC Climate Chaos season, Anne Robinson and Phillip Schofield ask questions on how well we know our planet. There are 7 groups in the studio playing along - explorers, weather forecasters, school run mums, builders, cyclists, politicians and celebrities. Also featured are wildlife clips from the BBC Natural History library.

my hubby INSISTED I watch this - so he could complain at me for watching rubbish telly (you gotta have a hobby!).
I got 51 out of 65 - small hurrah. Dick Strawbridge got 54, so I must be doing OK!!
I was conned though, they kept going on about being green, so I thought "I can do this" but it was all about geography and geology, so I flunked some of them.
Ah well. Serve me right for watching it.

I beat Dick!!! I got 55 yay lol.... not that it's important, he's just a bloke with a big moustache... I've got one of them at home anyway lmao.
Anyway - I agree... it wasn't really all about being green... I'm rubbish at the geography stuff... I thought north island was further north than northumberland
- mind you... I think the timer is a silly thing too as it puts you under pressure so you guess at a lot of stuff anyway. AND I did the test online so didn't get as many clues as there were on the telly. www.bbc.co.uk/testthenation if anyone fancies a shot at the questions... the answers are there too now.
Anyway - Scotland are the cleverest - according to the test... with Aberdeen being just below Edinburgh... and Brighton!!!!!! YAY to brighton babes (& blokes)
I think at this point I will forget to mention that the blokes are apparently cleverer than the women... I reckon that the reason for this is that you could also enter this via the telly using the remote and that all the blokes will have had command of the remote ;)) and no doubt they had their missus shouting the correct answer to them too.
Anyway - it was a bit of fun - although I found the frozen fingers joke to be a little offensive, especially when there were children watching - it was before 9pm - oh, and shame it had ms robinson asking the questions.. her pronunciation of some of the questions were a bit - ummm... questionable... penguins in the artic!! I've not seen any with HGV licences so far
