Hello from Norfolk / Sussex

Post: # 206715Post Gugg »

Hello,
I live in Norwich but have a small plot of land in the middle of a wood in East Sussex. On the land is an old hut built before the 1st World War in which a reclusive scientist lived for 60 or so years. He was almost totally self sufficient and my aim is to restore his hut to it's former 'glory'. It's a bit difficult though as I live a good 4 hours drive away from it. So it will be a challenge, and I am sure I will be asking for lots of advice from here.
Here is a picture of the hut! (If it works)

Hi gugg and welcome to Ish

That looks wonderful, so peaceful.

I'm really glad you posted, when I saw your name in the members list I was worried you were going to be a spammer - we get lots of spam trying to sell Ugg boots

That's funny as my wife runs a vintage clothing blog / shop and she was offered free Ugg boots to review recently. She turned them down as they don't really fit in with the 1940's look!

I used Gugg as my nick name as that is what I called pigs when I was very small.

Hello Gugg and welcome. That sounds like an interesting project but a logistical nightmare!

Hi and welcome Gugg. Looks like a lovely project. Out of interest would you be allowed to live permanently in that hut if it was a full time residence in the past?

Welcome to ISH :flower:

What a fantastic retreat from the hustle & bustle of the world, good luck with the restoration.

Hello
This place in the forest just looks so lovely, just out of a book! Is it far enough from population?
