Hello

Post: # 207395Post dustydave »

Hi,

I have a small holding about 6 miles from Chippenhan, 6 miles from Bath.

After getting fed up with the "business" life I've bought a 9 acre plot (south facing hill, not much soil) and am planning to have a go at living the Good Life.

So far, I've put in 100 grape vines this year: 50 red and 50 white and am planning on getting a few polytunnels up for next year. Then maybe some animals!

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Welcome to ISH :flower:

Do you interplant your vines with anything? I once 'wwoof'-ed on a vineyard in Devon & they were interplanting with buck wheat, but for the life of me I can't remember why! (Methinks I 'sampled' too much! :drunken: )

At the moment they seem to be interplanted with ragwort. Time to start weeding!
