A group of us are keeping bees in a mix of top bar hives and dadant hives. One of the top bars recently got infected with earwigs - it seems epidemic proportions, they're robbing all the honey and we were having to sugar feed at a time when stores should be high!
We've tried a straw trap but this didn't seem to do anything. Any ideas anyone?? Something the bees don't mind but the earwigs can't tolerate would be perfect.
