Hello from a north Swindon newbie :-)
Hey people!
I have been Ish-ing for a couple of years at home, but am always full of questions?!... A lovely friend of mine suggesting joining you all online to get help and share my trials and triumphs!!
I am a working mum - a social worker/sexual health educator for 3 days a week, for the rest of the time I'm a Mummy to James (10), David (7) and Frankie (2), I'm a wife to Sid and manage a reasonably full urban dwelling with 2 chickens, Gwen then Hen and Funky Chicken (sadly we lost our number 3 girl Lola recently) but we're hoping to expand our flock soon. Also have Parker cat and a few thousand worms.
I'm a huge believer of not buying things when I can make them myself which often leads to fun or frustration :-)
We're have a small veg garden which provides us with salad lettuces, tomatoes, broccoli, cucumbers, onions, beetroots, potatoes, peas, melons, apples, cherries, strawberries, raspberries and the odd plum! I jam and preserve enough food for an army very year and love to give it all away as presses.
That's probably enough about me - can't wait to chat/exchange/bounce off and meet you xx

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Hi and welcome to the Swindon chapter of Ish. There'll soon be enough of us Swindonishers to outnumber the Bristolishers.
Good to meet you. Any friend of Sunflowergal's is bound to be OK. Shame you missed the forage yesterday though Nikki and I got a lovely haul of blackberries, sloes (yes they were ripe already) and elderberries. I now have sloe gin and elderberry vodka on the go and had blackberry porridge for breakfast.
Happy ishing.
