I hate most French food especially the Breton speciality of saucisse galette :pukeright: and would do anything to go back to the Netherlands where I lived for a while just for a pannekoeken (can't spell any more so forgive me - I mean a Dutch savoury pancake!).

Ah,the ones with ''spek en stroop'' right?
A local pancake restaurant now serves them with honey, goats cheese and roasted pine nuts...wow.

We had a local one which did a sort of pancake crossed with a pizza and it was fantastic, loads of topping and yummy. There was always a strange sweet curry sauce on the table to add on top if you wanted, not sure about that as they didn't need it! I wasn't into the sweet ones, give me English or American pancakes any day! But the pancake house always closed at 8pm :dontknow: , we never got used to restaurants closing so early and everyone going out to eat at 6pm. :? Ahhh memories, don't miss the giant mosquitoes though.
