Joyful Joyful

Post: # 200303Post SuzieV »

I just need to share this with someone who will understand!

I recently bought a small (90 egg) hatcher and started it with 20 eggs. I figured that if i buggered it, it would not be to great a loss. Well, in the eggies went on 9 June with my best wishes and a few prayers too.

Tonight I candled them for the first time (as in my own personal first candle experience too!) and great GREAT was my joy to see the veins in 15 of the 20 eggs. Hopefully I will be back in a few weeks singing the praises of seeing my first chicks hatching.

By the way - I suspected yesterday, but today was convinced that one of my girls are broody as well - went as far as pecking at me when I put my hand under her. Wel - nothing better than a real mom. :grouphug:

That's always the way it happens with us, as soon as we put eggs in the incubator a chook or two go broody

Good luck with the eggs :flower:
