Hi from Edinburgh

Post: # 199375Post malcolmfraser »

Hi everyone,

I live in Edinburgh with my wife and two wee boys, 18 months and 2 weeks old.

I work in nature conservation (for the local authority and a government agency) and have been interested in plants for a few years. I've recently become interested in foraging and growing food after we moved to a new house with a small garden last year.

It's been raining for 4 days in Edinburgh but seems to have stopped now, so I'm waiting for the Elder trees to soak up some sunshine before collecting some flower heads for my first batch of cordial. Also got some chickweed fermenting onto of the kitchen unit (my wife just laughed when I told her what I was doing). In the garden I planted a couple of cherry trees and a few fruit bushes, a rhubarb, some french beans and some rocket. Trying not to get too carried away as I'm new to all this!

Cheers
Malcolm
