Hello from kent

Post: # 195751Post naomij »

Hi :sunny:

I found this site through some tinterweb browsing after reading a book called 'off-grid'. I'm not really awfully self sufficient, so I do not have an awful lot to contribute, but I look forward to learning

I guess I'm a bit of an idealist really, I'd love to live a simple life with my children in a log cabin in the woods  but my OH is a little more 'traditionalist'. Fortunately he is also too lazy to argue with me much about veg boxes/cloth nappies etc.

My main occupation and interest is currently being a stay at home mama to an 8 year old and a one year old. I really really enjoy knitting/sewing us clothes/toys and other bits and bobs, cooking wholesome food, and am currently on a gentle anti-plastic binge. I guess that is currently the only selfsufficientish thing I do, but I am really hoping to learn about more things I can incorporate into our lives, so I can't wait to read more of this forum :sunny:

Hi and welcome, my parents live in Tonbridge so I know Kent fairly well, where abouts in the county are you.
