We will shortly be taking delivery of 5 x baby rheas and regarding fencing all we can seem to find out is that sheep fencing is adiquate to contain them in the 2 acre feild they will be in , however not really being into sheep i have no idea how high sheep fancing is?
could someone please tell me how high rhea fencing / sheep fencing needs to be?

Hey Kev, we didn't have the money to properly fence much needed pasture one year. So we started with 3 foot welded wire and added a couple strands of barbed as the calves grew. We went back later and added two more strands to narrow the 12 inch wire spacing to 6 inch so that the fences would keep in goats.
These fences currently keep in goats, pastured geese, cattle and a sheep. I don't know how tall your fence posts are, but might that be an option for you?
