Posted today to my blog : recycling an old tweed skirt into a shopping bag, photos and tutorial included.
I am really happy with how this turned out starting from an idea and no pattern.

That looks really good! I actually got my sewing machine out yesterday, first time for years...been working fulltime. Now stopped for a while and looking forward to sewing stuff and crossstitch etc!

Love this! I`ve got two denim skirts that seem to have shrunk in the wardrobe, (ahem).
I`ll definitely have a bash!

Started my second one this morning.
I've cut some old "shrunken" jeans up into petals to make a ruffle/petalled bag later on.
Amazing how denim can shrink in the wash - particularly over the Christmas period. Must be something in the water.

Well done! I felt inspired to have a go, and cut up some old curtain material. Dragged out the sewing machine and then spent the rest of the day trying to remember how to thread it! pbf.
