Re: Upload photos?
This thread too Graham, it was only asked about 2 weeks ago and is about 8 postings down on the How To page......

It's very simple to upload a photo from your own hard disk, but what people don't seem to understand is that you have to reduce the size of the photo before trying to upload it! For that you need some sort of graphic program which will resize for you.
Alternatively follow the advice on this thread about opening an account with Photo bucket or Picasso or one of the many web sites which host photo galleries.

Re: Upload photos?
Sorry, everyone is being very helpful, but it is just not happening for me. I use Picasa, so I uploaded the photo to the Picasa web album and reduced it 640x480 pixels. But when I tried to paste the UTR, the forum said it couldn't find out what size the photo was.
Sorry to be a pain, but would very much appreciate it if someone would kindly step me through it using Picasa

Re: Upload photos?
That's strange because normally a photo which is hosted on the web (as long as it isn't huge) can easily be copied and pasted into a forum as long as you put the [img] tags around the URL (highlight the URL then press [img] in the same way as you would bold or italic something.
Graham can you pm me your picasa album link and I will have a test with one of your photos.

Re: Upload photos?
It depends what size you've set on your digital camera - low quality ones can be uploaded sometimes without having to reduce size (depending on individual forum settings) but high resolution from an SLR and you're talking reducing by a huge amount - and often losing quality when reduced enough to show on a forum.
