Hello, I've been looking at this site for AGES but only just registered today. I noticed that I have no friends!, so will YOU be my friend? I'm particularly interested in perennial edibles as I LOVE LOVE LOVE plants but not so keen on actual gardening! Far too much like hard work - which is my other half's job! (Bless him).

I love your signature. I've said things along those lines many times.
Don't worry about the friends list thing. I don't think most of us bother with it, we just get to know each other through the posts. Just being a members makes us friends as far as I'm concerned. After pouring my heart out on here once, I added all the lovely people who showed support and gave me good advice to my friends list, but I don't know if they are aware of that, or if I'm on anyone else's friends list. In fact, I don't really know what the friends list is for or if it does anything

If you mean the Friends or Foes thingy in your profile, as far as I am aware it just tells you when those people are online! Though of course you've got to go into your profile to view that, so you might as well scroll down the page and look there. Fairly pointless in my opinion. 
Mind you it just might be that I am not anyone's friend so I didn't get an all singing, all dancing message telling me someone loves me.
