Banking!!
Being fed up with the mind numbing greed of our bankers, I would like to find a new private and business account that is more ethical, but it would still need to be financially viable

Kind Regards

Re: Banking!!
I have my personal and a community group account with the Co-operative bank. They've always been very good, no problems, no charges for credit balances. I know some people think they don't go far enough in their ethical stance but they're certainly better than the mainstream banks. Or there's Triodos, but when I approached them for my community group they actually recommended I go to the Co-operative as they said they're not cost-effective for small groups!

Re: Banking!!
I've got the beastlings' Child Trust Funds with the Co-Op (though it's via The Children's Mutual, IIRC). Unfortunately, my other accounts are with Natwest (cringe) and HBOS (double cringe), though at least HBOS are pleasant to you on the phone.
Considering the amount of interest my meagre savings are not earning, am sorely tempted to blow the lot on a piece of art, or invest in the Bank of Mattress instead.

I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.
