despatching rabbits humanely

some one asked somewhere how to do it but cant find where it was now, so here you go

I have trouble with killing Rabbits, Chickens, etc, so I bought a air pistol, and by grasping it by the neck and placing the pistol to the head, death is instantaneous,and no blood.

I have tried chinning. I clearly wasn't strong enough because just as I was about to gut the little bugger, he sat up and started cleaning his face. Now I pop them on the back of the head with a hammer, dead or just unconscious? Then slit the throat to be sure. If you want the pelt this is not ideal.

so long as you fold the neck back as far as it will go , no real strength is needed , my 11yr old can do it anyway
