Do you keep livestock? Having any problems? Want to talk about it, whether it be sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, bees or llamas, here is your place to discuss.
After really wanting chickens for what seemed like several centuries but believing I didn't have the space, I started reading up about them and realised I DO have the space
Oooohhhh how lovely! Now you have to think of some wonderfully apt names! Don't worry - they'll probably name themselves after a couple of days! And after a wee while they'll have middle names too - we currently have one called "Lotty Bu**er lugs Pain in the A*se!" They really are good fun and the eggs are fabby! Enjoy!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

We have a Brehenda and a Meghen and a Mocca because the first thing she did was jump on OHs knee and stick her head in his coffee cup!

I don't know whether to laugh or go red here. We picked three names before we got them and are waiting for their personalities to show through before we decide who's who. They're going to be
Milly
Molly
......and.....
Aunt Maud
Not named after MillyMollyMandy, there, as you probably guessed. OH chose the names because they are the characters from our little girl's favourite TV programme - Milly Molly. Aunt Maud is considered a 'snippy' character, with a bit of a sharp tongue, so whoever is top of the pecking order will get that name.

I hope you're not offended MMM
Not at all, it's funny. I didn't know there was a telly programme called Milly Molly (but then I don't tend to watch childrens' TV!).
We've already had a trio of pigs called Milly, Molly and Mandy on this forum and I think there was another trio of some animal or bird called that too.
I'm sure you'll all have loads of fun with Milly, Molly and Aunt Maud.
