The Bushcraft Magazine May Day Meet

Post: # 186096Post Hedgehogpie »

What-Ho fellow 'Ishers'. Hope you don't mind me posting this (please feel free to remove it if not!).

The Bushcraft Magazine are having their second May Day Meet (1st to 3rd May) at Egerton near Ashford in Kent. I'll be there doing a bit of wild food stuff, as will Fergus Drennan (Of Roadkill Chef fame). If you live nearby and you're in any way interested in the great outdoors then do come along - there will be literally masses of things to watch and try your hand at: Animal tracking, atlatl and arrow making, bone needle making, bow-drill, bowmaking, bread baking, ferreting, fire and forge, firelighting and fire building, green wood working, netmaking, spoon carving, star gazing, storytelling, wild cooking, wild forage.

All the info is on their website (scroll down): http://www.bushcraft-magazine.co.uk/courses.php

Day tickets will be available too: They will be the same price as the one day courses @£25 per person (a single accompanied child under 11 gets in free); £50 for a family of up to 5. This includes participation/ entry in 3 workshops/demos over the day (that's a pretty good deal huh?).

Last year's meet was an absolute blast & this year's promises to be even bigger and better.
