Have you made something and want to show it off? This is the place for your photos or just talk about the things that you have made or would like to make. All crafts from knitting and crochet to woodwork, in fact anything that you have made!

Can you tell what it is yet?

... apart from some cross stitch of course!

In a sudden rush of blood to the head I decided to make a cross stitch panel for a cushion I'm making for the window seat in the living room and decided that it would look nice with a bit of tapestry on it...

I have never done cross stitch before and figured it'd not take that long to do... HA!

I finished the free gift butterfly I got when I ordered some floss in an afternoon and then it dawned on me how long it was going to take lol... I had bought a large 13" square chart...

I may be gone some time

LMAO @ Mike... dang is it *that* obvious?

Frozenthunderbolt, you're correct

Yep it took me ages to find one I liked... I love Celtic knotwork, it's coming on a treat too.

I had to purchase the pattern despite downloading several cross stitch software programs all of which could not make a decent pattern if it jumped up and bit them on the butt!

If anyone has any recommendations for cross stitch pattern software I'd be very grateful as I'm not really into all the flouncy girls in gardens and kittens line of cross stitch that everyone seems to sell and want to make my own.

Hi SPS

I've been looking around the net and found a bit of software you might like. It's called Stitch Colour, it's freeware, and I've downloaded it and checked it out - no viruses or any funny stuff. Anyway, basically, it will convert any photo/design/piccy into a cross stitch pattern. You can Google it or, if you like, drop me a PM with your email addy and I'll send the zip file to you as an attachment.

Mike

Oh no it isn't - it's called Stitch Color.

Well Miss I ran out of yarn and had to start something else... yarn duly purchased today and as such the cross stitch has been on the coffee table all day untouched lol

Thanks for the links and suggestions guys and gals I'm off to investigate :grouphug:
