well title says it all but here are my photos, I made a wee path in my vegie patch with recycled brick we had about the place.
Better than the vague area we had before with old fence palings and rotted cardboard methinks.

Yes old bricks are great- ours have "jory & campbell launceston" stamped on to and I made sure that would show. I am so glad to have found a use for them 'cos I always loved them but in a sort of abstract, "what am I going to do with that?" kind of way. Good luck with your paving, I am sure you will do a splendid job!

I'd love some spare bricks but I don't think there's such a thing as a brick built building in Brittany - the most I see is brick surrounds to some of the windows in the more posh houses/buildings in towns.

That does look much better. As a word of caution though, I suspect you will probably have to go back sometime and put a foundation underneath (unless you are a superfast worker, and based on the photo, I suspect these are straight on the earth). They ought to stay reasonably level for a while but keep your eyes open for offers of free sand and rubble which could be used to reseat them more firmly in future.

They are on a foundation of bluestone gravel so hopefully they will stay where they were put (ish).
