Another hello from Wales

Post: # 177566Post Splottlings »

Hola, also a new isher from Wales, living in the delightful city of Caerdydd in the area of Splott. A small little town house which we're working on getting as self-sufficient as possible, fitted a new woodburner on Saturday and already cooked two meals on it fuelled by wood collected from gardening jobs. Four compost heaps in garden supplied with material from various gardens and local florist and still can't keep up with speed of breakdown (from new heap to useable compost in two months and working on getting it even quicker), salads, vegetables and fruits incorporated into ornamental garden and working on setting up little reed bed system for recycling grey water.

It's amazing what you can do even in a little suburban house, I look forward to learning much from all the lovely knowledgeable people here.

Hi and welcome from the other end of the world
Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."
The Green Man has returned as the living face of the whole earth so that through his mouth we may say to the universe, "We are one."

Thanks for all the welcomes, nice to know there's a world of knowledge and people out there with like minded views and thoughts on living life. Still finding our way around but hope to learn a load and maybe meet some new friends.
Am a full time gardener in Caerdydd and my wife is an artist so if we can help in any way with answers to garden questions or ideas for brightening up the home please feel free to ask.

Smiles and love

Hi there and welcome!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
