I have never hunted with dogs before but after reading the dog/rabbit threads I may well give it a go. I know a guy locally that breeds lurchers and ferrets who would help me as these two wouldn't be much use......

Just a thought, about the hunting pics, I can understand why they would be resentful to someone stumbling accross them while browsing the forums so maybe a seperate hunting and fishing forum would work

seriousl.. this thread is in the section titled wild foods and foraging, which includes hunting and there is a note on the section title warning that there might be pictures, and this thread has a caution.. so.. we think that's covered.

mind you .. are people prepared to see your scary pictures... :mrgreen:

interesting thread though i find it hard to believe that nowdays a whippet knocking over a rabbit or killing a couple of rats be considered to be close to baiting and cockfighting under the banner of "blood sports". :roll:
