Welcome Stuffed!

The last time I set foot in MK was at the Bowl to see David Bowie. That was AGES ago. I reckon the roundabouts will still be there tho'!

Glennie..we have a magic roundabout in Swindon (not that I frequent the place often thank god) it's a NIGHTMARE roundabout where you just have to take a deep breathe and put your foot on the gas pedal to get around the 5 mini roundabouts. I have survived it twice now.

I know the one in Swindon, also called The Magic Roundabout. In theory (and maybe in practice, too) I suppose it is possible to go round it the wrong way, by going round each mini roundabout in turn. Whenever I've used it, I find my mind simply cannot work in 5 dimensions at once; the only way I've been able to cope with it is to follow the car in front, and if he's not going where I want to go, too bad!

It's one of only 3 times that I've been to MK too. Was it back in the early 80s? I also went to MK Bowl for a gardening fair too!

Must be late 80's possibly early 90's just before my son was born. I can't be sure, memory is going! (it's the kids that have done that I am sure)

I am happy to say that I know of the both magic roundabouts (what an exciting Life I lead) and having never passed my driving test I have not had to personally drive over them.

The one in Swindon was fun, we were being driven by a girl from belguim who does not know what to do on a roundabout and insisted that we tried to avoid them. We did not manage this and I swear that she shut her eye as we passed through it.
