Thankfully my toddler, Scarlett, has been extremely patient throughout this whole episode. For 2 years old and a former only-child I think she has done very well. I really do thank God/Allah/Buddah/Mother Nature/whoever is in charge that she is such a good little girl. There have been times when I have spent 40 minutes in the bedroom trying to calm Nya and poor old Scarlett has had to entertain herself for all that time. At the risk of a chastising from the parenting mafia, I admit that I would sit her down in front of CBeebies with a Farley's rusk. I would like to thank Mr. Tumble, Mr Maker, Upsy Daisy, etc...
So now that Nya is a normal baby she is starting to concentrate on the more important things in life. This week she has mastered rolling over onto her tummy, and she is just starting to try to pick things up and put them in her mouth. She usually misses, but I'm sure she'll keep practicing. We might even prepare ourselves for a big mess and try baby-led weaning

Good luck with the long hours, Sunflower! I have found one benefit to Mr Grubby working a lot: I don't have time to get sick of him being around the house and messing up my routine with the children/leaving dirty socks on the carpet, etc.
