This is an opportunity to enlist the help of four of the country's leading environment and food campaigning organisations for your school. Led by the Soil Association with £15.9m of lottery funding this provides a pathway for schools to put unprocessed, local and organic food at the heart of your community, growing your own food, linking to local farms and engaging the community in a shared harvest. Hi, just to add we're giving every school that registers a growing goodie box, a beautiful set of laminated A5 growing cards showing how to grow every garden favourite from A-Z as well as a comprehensive Growing Manual with everything you need to know about starting a garden in school. The manual was edited by a member of our team from Alnwick so it's north east proof too!
There are loads of other resources, do have a look at our web site and a short DVD or two of our best schools so far. Check if your school is signed up, see how they're doing with the award and read their blog. Enjoy

Hi, Thanks for having a look at the site. If you're a keen grower or just want to be, the link to Garden Organic is useful. I love the "what to do in the garden today..." link. Choose between herbs, veg or flowers and jump into instant expert mode! Some of the schools have uploaded photo's of their garden.
I hope you find the site useful. Could we improve it, is it working ok for you and has your school registered? We're lottery funded so there's no charge involved. We've another two and half years to run at least so do make the most of it.
