Aha I knew it another weirdo! My family think I am obscene for liking banana and marmite sandwiches but I think banana and branston sounds weirder - must give it a try sometime and gross them all out
Oh yuk banana and marmite sounds revolting (though I might give it a try just to see my OH's face!). The sour tanginess of Branston complements the sweetness of banana - I don't actually like B. pickle very much with cheese or anything else!
I have just tried it. First of all I get sweet and salty together as would be expected, but then a slightly unpleasant bitterness comes through that I've never noticed with marmite before. I don't like it But at least I tried.
