Hi everyone,

Thought id join up as ive been peeking in for a while now. Im Nick and live in North Devon with my wife, 2 dogs and my cat.
Im a gardener at the moment and we enjoy growing our own veg and some fruit too.

I went down to Salcombe the other week to fit a Woodburner. I think thats as far south as devon gets!!

yeh I think it is :) - i tend to see North Devon as a different county.. it does take us a few hours to drive to those foreign parts :flower:

Yeah, decided to get in to it last year. I want to take my hetas course this year so I can finally play with big boys. lol

excellent. let us know when you are a proper hetas wossit then... you could be a useful man to know :)

we got our last stove from Dean forge.. very happy with it.. but still have plans afoot for more in the house.. once we saved... another woodburner upstairs (both of us work from home part of the time so need warmth) and a woodburning rayburn or equiv. just need to persuade himself to sell another kidney and we can move on with our plans :mrgreen:

Yeah will do.

You can install woodburners and solid fuel ranges and have them inspected and signed off by Building Control which is Hetas' way of proving your competant. Thats how I do it at the moment as taking the course and being registered are two different things. You need the portfolio to finally become registered.

Its a long process but worth it as I love installing them.
