Yuk!!!
I'm just taking my washing out of the machine - and find a very well washed slug! How the heck did that get in there?
Anything interesting you've found in your washing recently?

BLEUCH!!!!!!
I'f found those wee pillbox beasties in the washing machine after a load (I used to call them earywigs, but I don't know what they are called now, they are a member of the shrimp family apparently)
Not in the washer, but slug related - after using the loo, for whatever reason I lifted the seat to expose the porcelain rim and there was a giant slug on it....... EEEEWWWW!!!

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Re: Yuk!!!
Well not recently but about 20 years ago after I'd come back from spending a summer working in Greece, I was ironing a blouse. Suddenly around the cuffs there were some crunchy sounds and then browny coloured crispy looking legs started appearing on the ironing board....... I'd washed and ironed a long dead COCKROACH! They are my worst nightmare!ina wrote:Anything interesting you've found in your washing recently?

eugh the worst things I find in the washing machine are drill bits, screws, pens and occasionally the chalk blocks that are used playing snooker

I agree... At least it was dead. (So was the slug, btw...)Millymollymandy wrote:I'd washed and ironed a long dead COCKROACH! They are my worst nightmare!
While still on the farm it was more usually nails, crayons, castration rings, pens...

Re: Yuk!!!
We used to have a HUGE plasterboard wall back when we lived in Oxfordshire, god knows how but the main thing i remember about that house was that for years there was this glistening slug/snail trail all the way up it (about 10 metres high) talking about stupid...
main thing I find in the washing machine (yes I wash my own cloths!!) is my hair... yucky yuck... I am dreading the day when i find a 10 euro note in there

As I ping from tree to tree I wonder... why do I seem to have transformed into a pinging tree-dwelling thing?

It's because the back of the washing machine is the entrance to Narnia.Silver Ether wrote:I can help with the sock .. we have loads of odd black ones ... and whats weird I buy them in big pack all the same so why do I get odd ones?boboff wrote:Yesterday I found sheets, a towel and a pair of Pants and one black sock!
