Hello from London

Post: # 152171Post robberbutton »

Hello everybody,

While escaping from the kids and hiding out in Borders Bookshop I found The Selfsufficientish Bible, and got a bit hooked.

We're in the process of buying a new home and (although this is slightly pre-emptive as nothing is exchanged yet) I would love for it to be as green as possible. I have big plans for veggies and chickens (although I'm going to have to fight my hubbie for garden space as he wants a huge trampoline! That's hubbie, not the kids!  )

Am looking forward to being inspired and encouraged

Welcome to ISH :flower:

Just point out to hubby that you can eat eggs but not trampolines.

Hello, and welcome
I am also in London, I have 8 hens, 1 cockerel and on e of my hens is sitting on a fertile egg, she is 18 days from hatching! We have only a back garden that we have divided into two parts, one for hens and one for a veggie patch.

it is great fun, and very worthwhile.
The cock may crow but the hen delivers the goods!
