First eggs !

we have got our first eggs today, 2 from the 3 chickens that we have.



now, I got these hens from http://www.deanbank.org.uk/ and I got Annpans at on the same day, from the same flock, Ann got her first egg 8 days ago. I have no idea why mine took 8 days longer. I am just posting so that people get to see that these things just take time. (and the overwhelming feeling of pride that I have in having eggs!)

The Kids are keeping the eggs for breakfast so that the OH can see them !

So strange the difference in times of starting to lay, my first girl started 8 days ago and my other 5 days ago, and they have aid every day since.

Congratulations John, and it won't be long till you are getting 3 every day now

Lovely eggs It's exciting, isn't it!? Our Marans laid her first egg this week, so now we have 4 hens laying and I'm on egg overload. Time to start making quiche.....
