If it's not slugs...

Post: # 151261Post englishsid »

If it's not slugs, what could be eating my veg?

I can't see an evidence of slugs around the planters and I've even run some old cooper pipe around the tops.

Anyone know what could have eaten most of my carrots and courgettes

Could be bunnies? or caterpillars? but probably still slugs - they can get past most barriers if they want to, OH was telling me of a photo he saw of a slug arching right over copper tape to get to plants :pale:

So far this year I'm having a lot of success with beer traps. I have a box of very out of date lager from a couple of Christmases ago which is being put to good use.

We lost all our courgettes the other day when our landlady's 'cute' little lambs got in the garden and bit off the rhubarb leaves and scoffed the courgettes. All SWMBO had to say was "They looked really cute skipping around the garden
