Think I'll give it a whirl on DS' rash on his arm - he's 3 months old, I hasten to add!

Good Article.

I have been BF my two children for nearly four years now, the eldest stopped when she was 2, but by then I was well on the way to having DD2 so...well you get the picture!

I have used breastmilk for all sorts of ailments with my two children, from sore bums to nettle rash and sticky eyes! The stuff is absolutely great, I have my wonderful midwife to thank for that - she told me how useful it was when DD1 was just a few days old and I've never looked back.

Hubby thinks that I am sneaking away enough feeds in the freezer to last us until the girls are old enough to move out and won't want attacking by their mother! When I told my sister all the good things that breastmilk could do she was so surprised (she lives in Florida) and she says that breastmilk was never the first port of call and she was always offered a 'medical' option whenever she visited her pediatrian - such a different approach down her way.

Well I say hurrah for breastmilk and I inwardly weep for the day its no longer needed and I shaln't have in my amoury :(
